About

Football is something unlike anything else on earth. It is a sport that transcends all ages, races, regions and religions — nothing else compares to the beautiful game. With a love for it and all aspects of it from players, tactics and kits to grounds, equipment and culture, Gastown FC was started in early 2010 by the editors of Inventory Magazine. Passionate fans and active players themselves, they wanted to create a team they could play on that was more than just a Sunday League team but also a creative and social outlet for like-minded individuals which involved the game both on and off the pitch on a regular basis.

Based in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, Gastown FC recently merged with neighboring club Yaletown F.C. to form a bigger, better and considerably more structured club. This season they'll be fielding two teams in the Vancouver Metro Soccer League, competing in the second division as well as in the reserve CAT league. G.F.C. continues to build a solid core of players whilst always looking ahead. Beside the on-the-pitch footballing ambitions, we are always open to new people to get involved with the club whether it's coming out for a run with us, taking photos, designing some graphics, sharing a pint or heckling the opposition. Having worked alongside local company CYC Design, we released a capsule collection of products in collaboration with their brand Reigning Champ starting in Fall of 2011 which will continue in 2012.
